Editor/Author Biographies
Giovanni Schiuma is a Professor in Innovation Management at University of Basilicata, in Italy, and Visiting Professor of Arts Based Management at University of the Arts London, UK. From 2013 to 2015 he has been Director of the Innovation Insights Hub at University of the Arts London, UK. As a high international academic he is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts in the arts in business and strategic knowledge management. He serves as Chief-Editor of the journal “Knowledge Management Research and Practice” and as Co-Editor in Chief of the international journal “Measuring Business Excellence”. Giovanni chairs the International Forum on Knowledge Assets Dynamics (IFKAD). Giovanni is recognized as a passionate, inspirational and influential thinker on the value of arts for business and he is committed to develop theoretical and practical frameworks, approaches and tools to drive both public and private organizations towards the improvement of their value creation dynamics by understanding, exploiting, measuring and managing arts, creative and culture-based assets and processes. In particular, his current research interest is focused on organisational behaviour and particularly on how complex organisations can be transformed into intelligent and human-centred organisations by leading and managing emotive and aesthetic dimensions. He is a regular speaker at conferences and has a teaching and consultancy experience across Europe on arts for business, knowledge and innovation management as well as on strategic performance measurement and management.
Antonio Lerro is a Senior Researcher and Senior Lecturer in Innovation Management at University of Basilicata, in Italy. He has been Visiting Research Fellow at Centre for Business Performance of the Cranfied School of Management and at Centre for International Competitiveness of the Metropolitan University of Cardiff, already University of Wales Institute Cardiff and more recently Visiting Researcher at Innovation Insight Hub of the University of the Arts London, UK. His research interests have been traditionally focused around knowledge and intellectual capital management supporting innovation and value creation dynamics, both at firm and territory level. More recently, he is developing research about cultural entrepreneur-ship, cross-sector innovation, collaboration between traditional industries and cultural and creative industries, innovation in business models of creative and cultural firms and organizations. He is author or co-author of more than 50 publications, including books, articles, research reports, working papers. His researches have been published in internationally-recognized journals such as Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Intellectual Capital, International Journal of Innovation Management, Measuring Business Excellence, Knowledge Management Research & Practice, International Journal of Knowledge-Based Development and many others. He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and acts in the Organizing Committee of the International Forum on Knowledge Assets Dynamics (IFKAD) whose he has been Chief Coordinator for various editions.
