Editor/Author Biographies

Sudipto Bhattacharya, Professor, VIT Business School, VIT, Vellore Campus graduated in Textile Technology, post-graduated in Business & Administration majoring in marketing. He was awarded PhD for his research on “Developing Entry and Growth Strategies for Foreign Business Academic Brands in India.” He served the textile industry in different capacities of production, process & product development and marketing for seven years which is being followed by nineteen years in academics, research, corporate consultancy and mentoring start-ups. He chose to be a management educator after post-graduation and was a consultant for visual merchandising, textile and fashion industry. He has taught International Business, Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Creativity & Innovation management in premier institutes at Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai. Successfully designed and delivered Management Development Programs for corporates at IIM Calcutta and IIEST, Shibpur. In 2010 & 2011, he was awarded the Entrepreneurship Educators Certificate from Stanford Technology Ventures Program, Stanford University and Goldman Sachs scholarship thereby completing Start-up Mentor Certification from London Business School. He was a faculty leader of National Entrepreneurship Network, India. In 2013, he represented India as National Expert on Entrepreneurship at Phnom Penh, Cambodia after being chosen by National Productivity Council in an Entrepreneurship Research Project of Asian Productivity Council, Tokyo. He was retained by Harare Institute of Technology, Zimbabwe as a Moderator and as a member in the Board of Studies of RK University, Rajkot, Gujarat, RGMCET (Autonomous College), Nandyal, AP and VIT Business School, VIT, Vellore. He has co-authored a text book titled “Startup to Scaleup” and has publications in Scopus-indexed international journals of repute. He is also the steering committee member of VIT E-Cell to develop the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in campus through policy interventions. He takes pride in his schooling in Gurukul system at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur and values the development of entrepreneurial mind aligned to the monastic order of Shri Ramakrishna Paramahansha to prepare Change makers through Social immersion. He is a Leon by birth, an addict of computer strategy games, known to his peers and students as a person who brings unconventional sparks in conventional setting. He lives happily with his two daughters and spouse.

Tanusree Chakraborty is a Ph.D in Applied Psychology (2008) from Calcutta University, MA (Applied Psychology) with Specialization in Organizational Psychology, PGDHRM and MBA (HR), with 16 years of overall work experience and 15 years of academic experience. She has been associated with a number of B-Schools and Universities of repute in Kolkata, Madurai, Bangalore and presently she is working with Rajalakshmi School of Business, Chennai as an Associate Professor in Organizational Behaviour/Human Resource Management vertical. Thoroughly good academic track record with university ranks, she is an Ex- research fellow of Indian Council of Medical Research. She has a good number of publications under her credit in Scopus indexed and ABDC listed journals. As well as UGC approved journals and presented research papers in several conferences of repute. She is an empanelled corporate trainer with training consultancies and Government Productivity Councils. She has conducted approx. 125 corporate trainings in the areas of Behavioral Science and HR and Psychometrics. She has been a panel member in admission and recruitment processes, GDPIs conducted in institutes and corporate. She has been an active member in clubs and committees of the institutes she has worked for. She has been editors of journals and newsletters and also reviewer of a good number of journals. She is working on a couple of edited books with reputed publishers.
