Bonnie King, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, is an Assistant Professor at Midwestern State University in the Department of Counseling, Kinesiology, and Special Education. She works as a counselor in a small private practice in Dallas, Texas. Her research and teaching interests include international counseling, best practices for counseling LGBT and transgender client populations, and counseling in green space. Dr. King attended the Texas State University and University of New Orleans, and worked in an international school counseling role in Vietnam. She has counseling experience in school counseling, drug rehabilitation, private practice, and community mental health settings. Bonnie is currently the treasurer/secretary for the Texas Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling.
Tiffany Stewart is an Associate Professor at Midwestern State University. She has been involved in the counseling profession for over 15 years, in the areas of rehabilitation, community mental health, school, college, and private practice. Dr. Stewart is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. She is currently a Regional Director for the Texas Counseling Association and holds professional memberships in the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), the Texas Counseling Association (TCA), and the Texas Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (TACES). She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern University at New Orleans, a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Akron. Her research interests include multicultural counseling, school counseling, urban education, advocacy, and counseling children. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, and exercising.
