This book is a collection of practitioner-based projects conducted by educational leaders across the P-12 and university spaces. The focus of each chapter is transformative change and includes the problem, the backgrounds of each change project topic, the literature about the topic, strategies/methods, implementation, and discussion. The purpose is to inform leaders across P-12 and higher education about innovations in the field, as well as inspire them to be change agents by replicating or including topics in their change initiatives. Additionally, the authors utilize their doctoral graduates, and those of other Educational Leadership Programs that include action based doctoral projects to submit chapters that they have both implemented and studied.
This publication provides leaders in both P-12 and Higher Education of innovations that have been created and studied to improve teaching, learning and the school experience in P-12 and Higher Education Settings. It is published to encourage and inspire teacher leaders, building and district level P-12 leaders, and higher education leaders to replicate or create their own change projects to improve student achievement.
The book is written for teachers, principals, teacher leaders, district level leaders, district level executive leaders, higher education leaders, professors, student services professionals in higher education, and anyone in the educational space that wants to learn from the practitioner’s point of view, how to transform teaching, learning and the school experience.
