Reviews & Statements

"The planning alone that went into this reference set must have been daunting, but the result was worth the effort. This work is extremely well done and will be useful in any academic or related special library."

– American Reference Books Annual (ARBA) 2006

We recommend this encyclopedia as a useful addition to the stock of knowledge in multimedia. This compendium would serve as a core reference in multimedia technology.

– Journal of Digital Information Management, Vol. 3 No. 3, September 2005

This encyclopedia also serves as a reference for managers, engineers, consultants, and others interested in the latest knowledge related to multimedia technology and networking. This sounds like an ambitious objective, but I would judge it to be one that has been achieved.

– Online Information Review, Vol 29, No.5

This reference collection is an attempt to demonstrate how critical multimedia technology and networking are in nearly every sector of education, government and business.

– E-Streams

A remarkable collection of articles that are the finest in the field of multimedia technology and networking. This encyclopedia should be included in any library.

– Prof. Leslie Leong, Central Connecticut State University, USA

This publication is far-reaching and comprehensive, featuring a virtual who's who" in this field. It is an absolutely essential text for the library of any scholar, manager and student interested in data communications and networking research. "

– Prof. Enrico Valdani, Bocconi University, Italy

The Encyclopedia of Multimedia Technology and Networking is the necessary reference for everyone, who practices design and operations of e-commerce, e-publishing, e-library, and other facets of multimedia.

– Dr. Andrew S. Targowski, Western Michigan University, USA

"It plays a great role as a reference tool for a university, as well as for laboratories and companies. "

– Prof. Nobuyoshi Terashima, Waseda University, Japan

"No piece of hardware or acronym is left unturned in this collection of articles. The articles are comprehensive enough for first inquiry by teachers, researchers and technology professionals but accessible enough for novices to peruse with confidence they will find basic concepts and well-choseng references for further study."
